Our Mission

We are an animal rescue organization focused on the cat overpopulation crisis, complex medical cases, and rehabilitating homeless animals and finding them homes. Guided by a commitment to never say no to an animal in need, we care for cats, dogs, rabbits, guinea pigs, retired research animals, and even the occasional wildlife rescue.

Street Rescue

In New York City, the number of cats living on the streets has reached crisis levels, making urgent rescue work more important than ever. Street cats face constant danger, from traffic and disease to starvation and extreme weather. Without intervention, unsterilized cats continue to reproduce, leading to overpopulation and overcrowded shelters.

Our street rescue efforts are rooted in compassion and action. Through adoption, and TNR programs, we work to break the cycle, creating a safer, more humane environment for both animals and the communities they live in.

Complex Medical Cases

Many of the animals we rescue come to us in urgent need of care, injured, sick, or living with untreated chronic conditions. These are the cases that are often overlooked, but we believe they are just as worthy of love, care, and a chance at life.

At PuppyKittyNYCity, we are committed to showing up for these animals. Our team works closely with skilled veterinarians to provide everything from emergency treatment to long-term rehabilitation. With a combination of advanced medical care and deep compassion, we give each animal the support they need to heal and, ultimately, to thrive.

Our Vision

We envision a New York City where no animal is left to suffer on the streets, where every cat, dog, and small animal has access to safety, care, and the opportunity for a loving home.

Through rescue, medical intervention, community education, and spay and neuter initiatives, we aim to reduce overpopulation at its source while building a more compassionate, responsible future for animals and humans alike.
