Bio:

Alyssa was rescued from a colony of ferals on the street of Northern Bronx/Yonkers, when her eye infection caught the attention of the rescuer.

Alyssa’s eye has since healed fully and beautifully. And her personality has emerged, as she has gained more confidence. She is quite petite in size but has a lot of sass, while also very proper.

This kitty certainly belonged to someone at one point in her life. We found out she's already spayed. And when she came to live with Foster Mom, she knew that a human bed was the ultimate luxury, she could open doors from the inside, she knew kisses meant affection, and she had perfect litter box etiquette. It's heartbreaking to think what it was like for her to be lost on the streets from being an indoor cat.

Now she deserves the best forever family that will be patient with her, as she's still shy. And your patience will be rewarded with the most loving and sweet kitty. She'll greet you with a pep in her step and chirp when she calls for you, she'll be a lap cat when you read or watch TV, she'll curl up in the crook of arm while you sleep, and she'll flip over for you to rub her tummy. She would thrive as the only princess in your home.

Alyssa wears her pirate eye and clipped ear as badges of honor, from days of fending for herself on the street, yet it hasn't made her bitter or downtrodden. She is forgiving, loving, playful and looking for the best home. Will you be the defender of her well-being and her tender heart?!
