Bio:
When Dee first came to us, he was a very feral cat that was TNR’ed by our team in the beginning of 2020. All of a sudden, Dee turned up at the ACC and thankfully he was microchipped to PKNYC. He was found with a ruptured eye, likely due to a car accident and had to have it removed. He underwent a successful enucleation surgery and is now healing beautifully! His fur is growing back and his eye has almost healed. Dee has been on quite the journey but he’s become such a friendly sweet boy who wants love and attention.
Dee is about 6 years old and reminds his foster mom of a little black bear. He’s finding his way around his foster home and is very food motivated. He immediately perks up at the sound of treats or when you wave around his favorite stick toy. He can be skittish at times and doesn’t like loud noises/fast movements. He would love a quiet home where he could settle in peacefully and explore his surroundings at his own pace. He also loves pets but has a time limit. Despite his past, Dee is so sweet and just wants a peaceful home to call his own. He’s okay as the only cat at home and in fact, might be better off as a solo cat. An ideal day for Dee would include yummy food, window watching, his favorite toy and pets from his human. Apply to adopt Dee!
