Misty is very very sweet, sociable, and affectionate. She loves human interaction, cheek and chin scratches, rubbing on you, lying against you while you are sleeping (within three days of coming to the house!).
She is active and playful, she could have fun just by playing on her own, but she is always thrilled when we play with her with her favorite toy birdie (a fishing rod toy). When playtime is over, she will cuddle and loves to sit beside your lap.
She meows mostly when you’re preparing her food or you're in view and she would like to eat or be petted. When you call her name, she would do a little meow saying “Hi” back to you.
She is also very smart and LOVES eating (and therefore easy to train). Even hair brushing and nail trimming are getting easier with her, when she is distracted by food. She grew a lot more patient and even learned a couple of tricks like how to sit down and wait, high-five, and stand-up in a few days. If you are looking for a sweet kitty who can be your best feline friend, Misty may be the one. She needs to be an only cat.

Alyssa was rescued from a colony of ferals on the street of Northern Bronx/Yonkers, when her eye infection caught the attention of the rescuer.
Alyssa’s eye has since healed fully and beautifully. And her personality has emerged, as she has gained more confidence. She is quite petite in size but has a lot of sass, while also very proper.
This kitty certainly belonged to someone at one point in her life. We found out she's already spayed. And when she came to live with Foster Mom, she knew that a human bed was the ultimate luxury, she could open doors from the inside, she knew kisses meant affection, and she had perfect litter box etiquette. It's heartbreaking to think what it was like for her to be lost on the streets from being an indoor cat.
